FAQsFAQs

We’ve gathered answers to the most common questions to help make your planning (and partying) as smooth as possible. If you’re wondering what to wear, when to show up, or whether to bring your kids (spoiler: don’t), you’re in the right place.
Question

What should I wear?What should I wear?

Answer

We're calling the dress code Festive Formal — think formalwear with personality. Bold colors, statement patterns, and rich textures are all encouraged. This is probably not the night for neutrals (unless they're sequined or feathered). Additionally, the groom will be in a dark green suit, so we kindly ask that no other gentleman wear that shade. Question

What’s the weather like this time of year? What’s the weather like this time of year?

Answer

Early November in Chicago is… unpredictable. It could be chilly, windy, and rainy — or surprisingly mild and pleasant. Check the forecast before you pack, and bring layers just in case.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors? Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors. There will be outdoor access if you want a breath of fresh air, but all the action (and all the dancing) is happening inside — so no need to worry about the weather.

Question

Is there parking available? Is there parking available?

Answer

There’s no designated parking at the venue, but street parking is usually available in the area. That said, if you’re planning to drink (and we hope you are — responsibly!), please play it safe and Uber or coordinate a designated driver.

Question

Are kids invited?Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll enjoy the excuse for a kid-free night out!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation envelope to see if a guest was included. We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but space is limited — thanks for understanding!

Question

Will transportation be provided? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

No transportation is needed — everything is happening in one building, and the after party is just a short walk away.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony? What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. Please plan to arrive a bit early so you have time to grab a glass of champagne, enjoy the space, and find your seat — we wouldn’t want you to miss a moment.

Question

What’s the RSVP deadline? What’s the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 1st — All information will be provided in the invitations but you can do so right here on the wedding website. Please reach out to us directly if you have problems RSVPing!

Question

What should I do if I have a dietary restriction? What should I do if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

If you have any major dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know when you RSVP or reach out to us directly. We’ll do our best to make sure you're well-fed and happy.

Question

Are there any events before or after the wedding? Are there any events before or after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Join us for a welcome party on Friday, November 7th at Quality Time from 8:00–10:00 PM. There’ll be an open bar, good vibes, and a chance to kick off the weekend with all our favorite people. For those not quite ready to call it a night after the wedding, we’ve reserved a small space down the street at Everything Bar for a casual after party. It’s just a short walk away.
