Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will be held at Hartwood Acres Mansion. This is an only outdoor venue. The venue features a glass pavilion where we will be dining, and we will also be providing extra tents especially in the event of rain. However, we want to encourage you to prepare for the possibility of rain, and consider bringing umbrellas. As we all know, Pittsburgh weather can be rather unpredictable. Also, while there are paved walkways at the venue, there may be times where you may step into wet grass or muddy areas, so keep this in mind when choosing footwear.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, Hartwood Acres Mansion does have parking available at the venue. There will be signs directing guests to the parking areas. You will be required to remove your car from the lot at the end of the evening by midnight. Please note, there are 2 venues at Hartwood Acres park, the mansion and the stables. Our wedding will be at the mansion, so please do not follow signs to the stables.

Will there be a cookie table?

Yes! Its, Pittsburgh, duh! If you are interested in providing cookies please text Rachel at 412-584-6583 to let her know.

How do I let the couple know about dietary restrictions?

Answer

We are having catering by Mission BBQ which will be served buffet style. There is a wide range of options available. However, if you have specific dietary restrictions such as allergies, or if you are vegan/vegetarian, let us know on your RSVP or you can reach out to Dominic or Rachel separately. Our caterer has options available to provide food items a la carte for those with restrictions.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar. Our bartenders have kindly requested that guests present their ID for proof of age over 21, so we would encourage you to keep this on hand. Please drink responsibly and designate a driver to remain sober if you choose to provide your own transportation. Shuttle service is available to our hotel.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space constraints at our venue, we request our invited guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. This also includes children. While we love the little ones in our lives, our wedding will be child-free. Thank you so much for understanding!

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal. Because this is an outdoor venue in late spring, we want you to be cool and comfortable. Floral patterns and pastels are encouraged!
