Bridesmaid
Emma is the gem of Ankeny and Rachel’s beloved niece,—the heart behind this entire wedding decor. Her love for Rachel can be seen in every detail of this wedding. Beyond her incredible dedication and organization, Emma is one of the kindest and sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Simply put, none of this would be possible without her, and everyone here is grateful for the joy and beauty she has created.
Bridesmaid
Laura is the kind of cousin who keeps life interesting in the best possible way. She brings an energy that’s impossible to ignore—bold, unfiltered, and always genuine. Around those she’s close to, her humor comes out in full force, complete with colorful vocabulary and stories that somehow always go just a little further than expected. But underneath that hilarious, no-holds-barred personality is someone deeply loyal, warm, and completely herself at all times. Laura has a way of making people feel comfortable—whether that means laughing until your stomach hurts or somehow finding yourself in a very detailed conversation you didn’t see coming. She’s unforgettable, unapologetic, and absolutely one of a kind—and every celebration is better (and definitely more entertaining) with her in it.
Bridesmaid
Miriam is the steady, logical force of the group—the one who always keeps everything (and everyone) on track. As an insurance agent, it’s no surprise that she has a sharp eye for detail. When things start to drift, Miriam is the one who brings it all back into line. She’s also known for her love of cleanliness and organization—everything has its place, and she makes sure it stays that way. But beyond the precision is someone who truly cares, always showing up with thoughtful advice and a calm, steady presence. Recently, Miriam has found love just like Rachel—beyond state lines—a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best things come from taking a chance and stepping outside what’s familiar.
Bridesmaid
Kyli is Rachel’s older sister and the one closest in age—a constant presence through every stage of life. Described by Rachel as “the best of us,” she carries a quiet strength and humility that make that statement feel undeniably true. She is observant, thoughtful, and deeply compassionate—the kind of person who notices what others might miss and steps in with care and intention. Over the years, Kyli has taken on the role of a second mom in the family, helping to guide and support Rachel with unwavering love. Like many siblings, their younger years came with their share of turbulence—even a few fisticuffs—but those moments only strengthened their bond. As they grew older, that relationship transformed into one rooted in deep respect, trust, and genuine closeness. Kyli is the calm in the chaos, the quiet foundation of the family, and someone whose presence brings a sense of stability and warmth to everyone around her.
Matron of Honor
Hayli is the youngest sister—the one Rachel jokingly says was made in her own image and likeness. And in many ways, it shows. From their shared tastes to the way they see the world, the two have built a bond that’s uniquely close, rooted in just how much they have in common. Hayli isn’t afraid to speak her mind. In fact, she has a bit of a reputation for tossing the occasional “grenade” into family conversations—keeping things interesting and never letting anything stay too quiet for long. Where she might have picked that up from… well, that’s anybody’s guess (though Rachel may have a theory). But beyond the humor and boldness is someone fiercely loyal, deeply caring, and protective of the people she loves. Hayli shows up for her family with a passion and intensity that’s unmistakable. She’s spirited, honest, and full of life—and her presence brings both energy and heart to every moment.
Best Man
Grant MacKay is the oldest brother of David. Grant has been someone who David has looked up to and is a best friend and one of the few who understands his sense of humor, just don't look at our Instagram feed. You may in fact mistake Grant for David throughout the day, but he is actually not David’s twin. He is a go-getter and has recently read any and every biography book on missionaries he has gotten his hands on. If you are unsaved, ask him about Jacob Eames.
Groomsman
Andrew, David’s cousin, once challenged a steam engine to a contest of strength—and won. He’s also known to carry every grocery bag in one trip. If you see someone who looks like a modern-day Paul Bunyan, that’s probably Andrew. Though he may look intimidating at first glance, his heart is made of pure gold.
Groomsman
Lester is a lifelong friend of David and a true connoisseur of fine dining and extravagant things. He’s a powerhouse when it comes to managing restaurants, with experience that even includes the infamous Cheesecake Factory—yes, even in Mexico City. If you ever get the chance, be sure to ask him his thoughts on breaking pasta before boiling it.
Groomsman
Michael is David’s brother-in-law. After spending a few rough years up in Washington, Natalie eventually brought him down to California where he’s since become part of the MacKay family. Michael is the dreamer of the group and the source of many unforgettable stories over the years. He also holds the distinguished title of being the family’s lone sports fan—so be sure to encourage him now that another one is joining the ranks. And if you get the chance, ask him whether it’s acceptable to let people pass you in line at Disneyland and what he does to those who do.
Groomsman
Desmond may be a relatively recent addition to David’s circle—despite technically being born while David was still in high school—but he’s quickly become a great friend for long, thoughtful conversations about life. Just be careful not to get him started on conspiracy theories. Before you know it, he’ll have fifty browser tabs open, several charts drawn, and will return ready for another three-hour discussion. And yes, ladies—he is single and ready to mingle.
