Where should we fly into?

Answer

The easiest option is SBP, San Luis Obispo Airport. It is served by American, United and Alaska Airlines. Most flights fly through LAX, San Diego, and Dallas Fort Worth, then on to North Carolina. You can also fly to Santa Barbara if you don't mind a drive. Best to purchase your tickets early (months out) and on a Tuesday or Wednesday, as rates tend to fluctuate. Where do stay?

We have room blocks established at the Madonna Inn and at a couple nearby hotels that should fit your needs. If you would like something different, feel free to checkout many of the local boutique hotel's, inns and house rentals. Check the Travel section of our website.

How do we get around?

Answer

If you don't want to rent a car, San Luis Obispo has ride share and taxi service. If you want to explore the greater region, a rental car is your best bet, although Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner does run from SLO all the way down to San Diego https://www.amtrak.com/california-train-routes

Where is the Wedding Ceremony and Reception?

Both the ceremony and reception are at the Madonna Inn. The ceremony will be a brief service, followed by appetizers, drinks, dinner and dancing. Check the Schedule section of our website.

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

This area is known for its natural beauty and amazing weather. Depending on how far you want to wander, there are many farm-table restaurants in downtown SLO, many local vineyards to visit, multiple beaches just 15 min. away and lots of amazing walks and hikes. Also, SLO is a college town, so for those that want to enjoy some nightlife, SLO has you covered. Check the Things To Do section of our website.

What's the weather like in late October?

Unlike the south, the weather in SLO CAL is very consistent in October. Expect sunny, 75°F days, with a light breeze and cool 50°F nights with very little humidity.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Who knows, maybe you will meet the love of your life in SLO..

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Coordinated Cocktail, please (refer to the invitation). But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.
