We met and got to know each other by working together at Barnes Jewish Hospital in the ENT and Neurosurgery unit of the operating room. We didn't start dating until 2019 around the time the blues were in the playoffs, so many of our first dates revolved around watching blues games - we saw them win the Stanley Cup together in Busch Stadium which was a pretty epic date.

Since we started dating, we have loved traveling together. In August 2021, we were planning to go on a family trip to Jackson Hole, WY and decided to add a few days on the front end of the trip to stop in Bozeman, MT and Yellowstone National Park. On 8/25/21 we flew into Bozeman, MT, Corey kept suggesting a hike to the "M", but Rachel had no interest since it was so smoky due to the wildfires. We ended up exploring the main street of Bozeman. After dinner, we headed back to our hotel, and Corey popped the question. We called some of our family and friends in the middle of the night and early morning before we entered the park. Once we got to Yellowstone we had no cellphone or interent service, it was so blissful to truly enjoy our engagement together in such a beautiful place and fairly disconnected. A few days later we made it to Jackson Hole where we got to celebrate our engagement with our family!

We moved!! We recently relocated to Scottsdale, AZ. Corey was offered a position as a sale rep in Arizona working for DePuy, the same spine company he worked for in STL. Rachel started a new operating room nursing job, and is working on her masters of nursing to become a nurse practitioner. We are so excited for this new adventure!
