The ceremony and reception will both be taking place at Brookside Farm on September 28th, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Please be sure to check out the "Schedule" tab within this website for more information on exact times.
Please RSVP directly through "RSVP" tab within this website, or visit the RSVP tab on the home page. If you received an optional "Mail RSVP" card in your wedding invitation, we ask that you complete the backside of the card with your response and send back to us by July 28th, using the return envelope provided. Otherwise, you can RSVP online. All online RSVP responses must be submitted by August 28th. We kindly ask that you please do not RSVP by text, email or through Facebook - that way nobody slips through the cracks!
Cody and I are pretty casual people, so please dress comfortably, just no jeans, shorts or t-shirts or flip flops please. We want you all to look your best for the many photos that will be taken that day, so please plan dressing semi-formal which means for the men: Plan on slacks, button down shirts with or without a tie, or a tux if you really want too. And for the women: Plan on a sun dress, anything floral and dressy, gown or skirt, or a dressy top and slacks.
Please visit the "Travel" section within this website to view a list of hotels located within a 15-20 minute distance from the venue. We searched for options that include the best ratings, most affordable rates, and of course, places with hot breakfast included. The most important part.
This information is also listed in the "Schedule" tab within this website, but the official timeline will be: Ceremony: 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm. Cocktail Hour: 4:30 pm - 5:30/6pm. Reception: 5:30/6pm - 10:30 pm.
Please be understanding that we can only accommodate children of immediate family for our wedding day. We hope you can still join us to celebrate!
There will be no transportation provided to and from the venue. Uber or Lyft are available in the area during the weekends and can get you home quickly and safely for a small fee, if you need a ride. Your safety means everything to us!
We are registered through Amazon and Target! You can find both registries and items through the "Registry" tab within this website. Thank you!
I was always told that when it rains on your wedding day, it is God's way of blessing the newly weds which is a beautiful concept. But preferably, we all wish for beautiful sunny weather with low humidity on the day of the wedding, but if God decided to bless us a little extra, the ceremony will take place under the Corn Crib next to the Barn. We will provide umbrellas for the guests that will not be able to fit under the covered area, but please plan on bringing an extra just to be safe. The reception will be in the covered Barn, and cocktail hour will be under a tent.
The ceremony will be unplugged, so please turn off your devices and let the photographer work her magic. After the ceremony is over, you are welcome to turn them back on and use them in a limited and non-distracting manner during cocktail hour and the reception. Cody and I want you all to be as present as possible during our big day, but we also encourage you to capture moments with your friends and families for your personal use.
We do not have an official wedding planner, so please feel free to email me directly with any questions at rschlos95@gmail.com. Thank you!
Please do not bring any outside alcohol or liquor to the wedding. We will be providing beer and wine for everyone. There will be no need for any outside additions.
Of course! Our hashtag is going to be #togetherforgoode so we encourage you to use this hashtag on any of our social media posts so we can see them all after the wedding!
There will be two parking locations, one for the ceremony and one for the cocktail hour and reception. The ceremony will be taking place out in the left field, across Meadow Creek by the two sycamore trees. As you drive down Klines Mill Road, you will see an open red gate to a large field on your left-hand side, and parking will be up along the fence line facing the road. We will have some helpers standing by the gate to help direct you to your parking spot so things stay organized. After the ceremony is over, you will return to your car and exit back out of the same red gate and take a left back onto Klines Mill Road. Just a few yards from the red gate, you will take a left up the drive way with the sign that says "Brookside Farm". Follow the parking sign at the top of the driveway where you will take a right through the second red gate, into the large right field. Again, we should have someone out there to help you find your spot if you are one of the first set of cars. Your car can remain here for the duration of the wedding. If you need transportation assistance down to where the cocktail hour will be taking place, we will have someone running the golf cart to and from the vehicles.
