Travel Note

Getting Around Chicago

Chicago traffic can be unpredictable, especially on Friday afternoons and evenings, so we recommend allowing a little extra travel time when heading to wedding events. For our wedding day, valet parking will be available at Cafe Brauer beginning at 4:00 PM and continuing through the end of the evening, so parking at the venue should be easy and convenient. For guests staying at our hotel block at the Ambassador, Cafe Brauer is typically a 10-minute Uber or Lyft ride away.

Flight

O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport

For guests traveling from out of town, Chicago is served by two major airports: O'Hare and Midway, located northwest and southwest of the city, respectively. Both airports are approximately 45–60 minutes from downtown depending on traffic and the time of day. Rideshare services (Uber/Lyft), taxis, and public transit (CTA “L” trains and buses) are available from both airports.
