FAQs

For any additional questions, please contact our wedding planner and coordinator, Blair, at 773-707-6464 or blair@bwstudioevents.com
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. Since it’s a Friday evening in Chicago, please allow extra time for rush-hour traffic when planning your travel. We kindly ask that you plan to arrive 15–30 minutes early to find your seat and get settled so we can start on time. To ensure an uninterrupted ceremony, the doors to Cafe Brauer will close once the ceremony begins and late entry will not be permitted.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Please join us dressed in cocktail attire. We suggest ladies wear a nice dress, dressy jumpsuit, or elegant separates — knee-length, midi, or tea-length all work beautifully (and don’t forget shoes you can dance in!) For the gents, a suit or jacket with slacks is ideal (ties are welcome but not required). We want you to feel both stylish and comfortable as you celebrate with us on the dance floor all evening long!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, we’d love for our wedding to be your night off! The celebration runs from 5pm–12am (not including travel), so please plan ahead for childcare. We’ve reserved a wonderful hotel block downtown so you can relax, celebrate, and enjoy the entire evening with us!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re so excited to share this moment with you! To fully capture the magic, we’ve chosen to have an unplugged ceremony. Please keep your phones and cameras tucked away (and on silent) so everyone can be fully present.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes, if not, we would prefer that it is just you.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held indoors, so you’ll be comfortable no matter the weather. Our cocktail hour will be outside, but it’s covered, so you can enjoy the fresh air without worrying about the elements.
