Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors so please dress accordingly. Richmond in early November will in the low 60s so a fall jacket will be perfect! The wedding reception will take place in a heated tent, but we encourage you to wander to grounds during the party too!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be for adults only so that parents can enjoy a night off. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 pm ET so please arrive at the latest by 4:45 pm if you're driving. If you're staying in the hotel block, please reference the shuttle schedule on the "Schedule" section of our website.

Question

Where should we park on the day of the wedding?

Answer

There will be a shuttle service to and from the Homewood Suites before the Ceremony and after the Reception, so would plan to park at the hotel if possible. If not, there is limited parking available at the venue.

Question

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Reception lasts until 11pm, but after that there are plenty of breweries and bars throughout Scott's Addition for those who want to keep the night going!

Question

Why is it called Richmond?

Answer

Named after Richard Mondrian, who is a Virginia native famous for changing his own name after kidnapping and assuming half of the identity of the post-modern artist Piet Mondrian. Or some dead Englishman just called it Richmond. Could be either.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal attire. Please feel free to break out your favorite cocktail dress, jumpsuit, or blazers!

Question

Will Richard Rosenfeld be performing a magic show?

Answer

After a tragic accident involving a wayward dove and a now concussed child, Richard has sworn off the ancient art of illusions. However, your interest is noted and all future inquiries should be referred to his Magician's Assistant, Robby Rosenfeld.
