On October 21, 2024, Rachel brought Chris to a stand-up comedy show, "Dynasty Tonight," at the historic Hayworth Theatre. Little did he know that after a series of escalating dares, they would end up legally married in front of a theater full of strangers!
With stand-up by Steph Tolev, Kate Berlant, Brent Weinbach, and Reggie Watts, Rachel and Chris's wedding had more dirty jokes (37) and impressions of Sigourney Weaver (1) than a typical ceremony.
"Dynasty Tonight" hosts Vanessa Ragland and Jamie Flam led audience members in a raucous game called "Dare-Nasty Tonight," with head-to-head dares involving a costume contest and a popcorn-eating challenge clad in vampire fangs.
In the final round, the hosts invited Chris and Rachel on stage. A dare to open a bag of Doritos hands-free! (They nailed this so fast.) A dare to describe how they fell in love! (Chris won this one. It was adorable.) And finally – a dare to get (legally) married on stage!
They both accepted this dare.
