Although Chad and Rachel went to the same high school, they did not meet until after high school. Chad and Rachel had their first date in June of 2016. Although they had a great time mini golfing they did not have their second date until July. Chad had broken his arm from racing and Rachel felt bad for him and wanted to nurse him back to health. Of course Rachel played hard to get and said no the first time Chad asked her to be his girlfriend. They officially started dating August 29th, 2016

Chad and Rachel were in Michigan at Silver Lake visiting Chad's friend from the Navy. Rachel thought they were just taking a cute picture at sunset. She kept wondering why Chad kept pointing and telling her to look at something in the opposite direction, but when she turned her back he was down on one knee!
