Maid of Honor
Tia the not so "bigger" sister will be helping Rachel get through the day with her constant semi appropriate comedic relief. Tia is a 5 foot nothing loose canon that there is no stopping, so we apologize in advance for anything she says in her speech. You will not be able to find Tia on the day of the wedding because she will most likely get the date wrong and show up a week late. "aw nuts again..."
Best Man
Chris and Brian met their first year in college at Washington and have figured out a way to live together for 6 of the last 10 years. Through the ups and the downs, Chris has provided comedic and thoughtful relief through every step of the way. You will likely find Chris in the middle of the dance floor for the entirety of the wedding night, just please keep a 10 foot radius for safety.
Bridesmaid
"Cow" has inserted herself into our relationship from day one. When she visits us it takes 6 weeks of cleaning and 12 weeks of therapy to return to equilibrium but we would not change it for the world. On the day of the wedding you will find her on the way to the hospital due to the amount of dairy she will consume, even though she is lactose intolerant.
Groomsman
Cody and Brian met at Duke for PT school, where they were president and vice president respectively. North Carolina beer and PT school trips brought these two close together. Cody drags Brian to heavy metal concerts while Brian drags Cody to golf trips- with each happy to oblige. You will l likely find Cody at the DJ booth requesting a song by Blood Incantation and shaming the new pop music that is being played.
Bridesmaid
Carly is the perfect angel child and best little sister Rachel’s mom and siblings could have ever asked for. Carly’s undeniable Fargo accent has been warming the Koebele household since the 6th grade and has been a part of the family ever since. On the day of the wedding you will likely find Carly chatting with all the Grandparents over a cup of coffee.
Groomsman
Michael and Brian met in kindergarten and they have been best friends since. These two were inseparable through high school- which may be in part because they both promised to take the EXACT same classes when it was time to select. Michael has been there for it all. And there is no one who can make Brian laugh harder than Michael Henry Wied. You will likely find Michael chopping it up on the dance floor with Brian's parents through the night.
Bridesmaid
Sam has had a front row seat into our relationship from the beginning. She was there from the first date helping Rachel accept her undeniable crush on the boy that sat next to Samantha in class. On the day of the wedding you can find Samantha sharing all of her food with Rachel and most likely talking her off a ledge.
Groomsman
Andy and Brian met in PT school, where they were placed on the same learning team. Through school, Andy and Brian could be found at either Dain's, Ponysauraus Brewing, or TSCHE library- but they would surely be together. From trips down to Florida, New Orleans, and Massachusetts- Andy helped Brian get through PT school, while smiling the entire time. You will likely find Andy out along the vines, plucking grapes for a snack later on in the night.
Bridesmaid
Julie is the little sister Rachel has always dreamed of. Julie and Rachel hit it off from day one and have been giggling ever since. On the day of the wedding you can find Julie trying to reign in her Dad’s dance moves while being the happiest she has ever been, as always.
Groomsman
Kyle and Brian met during Brian's first trip to Minnesota to meet the Koebele clan. Within the first 30 minutes Brian was sold as all Kyle wanted to discuss was the misery of Vikings football while taking jabs at Duke basketball along the way. You will likely find Kyle critiquing the chef's sous vide method during the ceremony and playing hammerschlaggen with Andy, Michael, Cody, and Chris during the reception....
Rachel's Parents
We cannot find words to thank Todd and Mona enough for everything they do for us as well as helping with the wedding of our dreams. Todd and Mona have lived up to their name today with their undeniable generosity. They have accepted all our friends into their home as one of their own, even when Cow spilled a bucket of purple paint on Todd's white carpet. At the wedding you will find at least a dozen young adults calling Mona "Mom" begging for her soup recipes. You will not be able to find Todd, as nobody ever can, but when you do he will be be changing the oil in the cars of everyone in the wedding party.
Brian's Parents
Two of the kindest, hardest working people in this world. Rachel and Brian cannot thank Barb and Jay enough for all of the support and guidance through this process and beyond. Everyone love's Barb and Jay. You will likely find Jay dancing with a large glass of Cab in his hand, with Barb helping the wait staff clean some of the tables :). We love you so much
Officiant
Tyler has been trying to date Brian since their first week at UW. After meeting Rachel while all three were on the east coast, Tyler finally gave up hope as he reports daily he likes Rachel more than Brian. He has been an incredibly close friend to both Rachel and Brian over the last 5+ years. With both Brian and Rachel jockeying to have Tyler on their side of the aisle, it was settled that he wouldn't have to pick a side- and he would be with us right in the middle. On the day of the wedding, you will likely find Tyler bawling as he attempts to make through the ceremony.
