We met in downtown Mobile one night while we were both out with friends! I had just recently gotten out of a relationship and was looking to have fun with girlfriends downtown and dance all night. Brent and some of our mutual friends met us at O'Daly's and we met for the first time that night. I told my friend Sydney that I thought he was really cute and he told his friend Jeff the same! Within minutes Sydney and Jeff were trying to set us up. I had bronchitis at the time and could barely talk so I spent all night yelling into his ear over the loud music. By the end of the night he gave me his number! The next morning Brent met me at the dog park so that he could meet my dog Macy and we spent hours talking. The rest is history!

Brent planned a night of proposing while watching the sunset at the Fairhope Pier and then going to dinner, but with no sunset on that rainy evening he had to improvise! Instead, went to dinner at Gambinos and then went to see the giant Christmas tree in downtown Fairhope. While standing around the Christmas tree Brent got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I had never seen him so nervous and I immediately started crying happy tears.

Brent & I decided we didn't want to wait any longer to be married! One night, while sitting in our best friend's Ryan and Rachel's living room Ryan's aunt Jennifer notarized our paperwork and we were married! Neither of us knew that as soon as it was notarized we were married, so it came as a surprise to us both! It definitely was not the most traditional way, but i would do it over again in a heartbeat.
