FAQs

The Wedding Website of Clayton Rabideau and Rachel Zajchowski
Question

What do I wear to this shindig?

Answer

Dress code is country (Rachel) formal (Clayton). Basically wear a nice outfit, but one that you are comfortable in. Biggest thing is this wedding will be outside and requires some mobilization up and in a field of grass (maybe mud, if rainy) so flats/wedge/closed toe shoes are highly recommended (NO POINTY SHOES please). Also September in Vermont can bring hot or cold, sunny or rainy weather, so be prepared because we want you comfortable for all the fun :) If you want more recommendations, we love blues and greens of all kinds.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kids but also want to give adults a well-deserved date night. We ask that you try your hardest to find a babysitter for the evening and this be an adults-only event. However, if not bringing your child means you are not going to come, please reach out to Rachel or Clayton and we can discuss. We can try to help the best we can with accommodations for your child. We really want all our people to be able to attend!

Question

Are dogs invited?

Answer

We love our furry friends but the venues ask that we not have pets on the property the day of the wedding.

Question

I am very confused about this accommodation thing?

Answer

If you want to stay onsite/ close by please contact us ASAP as you do have an assigned cabin! 1) Please contact Rachel (802-735-3080) or Clayton (857-296-2801) for your cabin assignment or tell them you want to find your own place. 2) Rachel or Clayton will give you the cabin they have assigned you. 3) As directed you will need to call Sterling Ridge (802) 644-8265 and reserve the cabin number Rachel or Clayton have assigned (only one person in the group will need to do this). If you have been assigned another accommodation, follow steps of that particular accommodation.

Question

How do I plant the wedding invitation seed paper?

Answer

1. We recommend planting within the first year of receiving our invite. 2. Remove the ribbon and invite cards. You don't want anything in the way of your young plants' future growth spurt. 3. Gently break apart or tear the fern paper into smaller pieces. 4. Choose a sunny outdoor garden/spot or planter/pot. 5. Plant in 1/4" to 1/2" loosely packed soil. Give the seeds room to grow! 6. Keep very moist, especially until the seeds begin to sprout. 7. Continue to water as needed. 8 Watch them bloom and think of us!
