FAQs

Question

How do I mail you back my RSVP?

Answer

You don't! We have set RSVPs up online so you don't have to worry about sending anything back. Please click the "RSVP" button on this website to let us know if you can make it!

Question

How long is the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be about an hour long.

Question

Should I drive myself to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

You will need to get your own transportation to the Greek church. We encourage carpooling, Uber/Lyft/local cabs, or walking if possible. The North Fork Trolley will transport guests from the church to The Halyard, and after the reception can drop guests off back at the church (for anyone who left their car there), The Menhaden, The Greenporter, and The Tapestry Inn.

Question

Will there be parking at the church and/or at The Halyard?

Answer

Yes, although parking at the church is limited. You may need to park on the street. There is limited parking directly in front of the Halyard as well as directly across the street from the Halyard, though we encourage guests to avoid parking there if possible. The road the Halyard faces is very busy with cars going by very quickly, so we strongly encourage guests to take advantage of the trolley service. For guests who have to park across the street, we ask that you exercise great caution and only cross the street when the road is clear from traffic.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch, please feel free to dress casually. For the day of the wedding, we ask guests to dress in cocktail attire.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 25th.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we're registered through Zola - you can access by clicking the "Registry" tab of this website.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We kindly request that only guests who have received an invitation specifically for a +1 bring a date.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to our limited guest list, the only invited children are our flower girl and ring bearers.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Check out the "Travel" tab of this website for our recommendations.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will try our best to accommodate food allergies and note any common allergens in our menu in case guests need to avoid. Please let us know if you have a severe allergy the kitchen should be aware of.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We invite all guests to our rehearsal dinner and our post-wedding brunch. Please see the "Schedule" tab for more information.

Question

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will have time for mingling and pictures immediately after the ceremony. Guests can either drive themselves from the church to The Halyard restaurant or they can take the North Fork trolley, free of charge (recommended).

Question

Will there be an after-party?

Answer

Yes! Guests who wish to celebrate with us after 10pm can meet us in the Piano Lounge, just down the hallway from our reception space. We will be there until midnight. The North Fork Trolley will be picking guests up every hour between 10pm and 12am for guests who wish to return to downtown Greenport during those hours and did not bring a car. The after-party will be cash bar only and open to the public.

Question

Where and when is the post-wedding brunch?

Answer

The post-wedding brunch will be on Sunday, 6/16 starting at 10am and lasting until 12pm. It will be located at The Halyard in The Library. Enter through the Soundview lobby and take a left to find us.
