Wedding Party

These are the people who have helped us become who we are today, and we are so thrilled that they will be helping us celebrate!

Meredith Peck

Matron of Honor

Meredith is my big sister, and she has been the BIGGEST help when it comes to wedding planning. I've admired her my whole life, and had the honor of being her maid of honor when she married my wonderful brother-in-law Justin. She is now returning the favor, and has been a huge help! It's been so much fun watching her become a mom to 3 of my lovely nieces and nephews, and I'm so excited to have her.

Kevin Franz

Best Man

My best man and younger brother, who continues to amaze and impress me with knowledge and skill all the time. He will graduate from dental school just before the wedding and will be moving to my recent stomping grounds in Ann Arbor for dental residency. Turns out as we’ve grown we have a lot more in common than we thought, and it has been tons of fun to explore the shared interests as we’ve aged. I am thankful to have such an impressive sibling and am looking forward to continuing to grow with him as a friend and brother.

Mercedies Steinkamp

Bridesmaid

From elementary school, to high school swimming, to figuring out this whole adult thing, Cedie and I have been through it all. She's someone I can always call when things are going crazy, and I know she will always be honest with me. It's been so much fun to be a part of her kid's lives and I'm thankful she and Cole let me be a part of their family.

Scott Murray

Groomsman

Despite living on the same floor freshman year, we didn’t really become close friends until sophomore year of undergrad, but we certainly made the most of it. A housemate for 5 of my 8 years at Creighton, Scott and I shared a lot of class and study time together. I have been thrilled to see him be successful and happy as he’s worked to find his true passions and will always jump at the chance to get together for beers and games.

Alex Emerson

Bridesmaid

Alex and I initially met playing softball as young kids, where she thought I was a little intense. I then forced her to be my friend when she came to our middle school, and the rest is history. She's been the peanut butter to my jelly for a long time (sorry there's not a great Harry Potter analogy there), and I'm so excited we are both getting married in the same year. She and I can always pick up right where we left off, and I can't wait to see how the future unfolds.

John Sarmiento

Groomsman

Since freshman year, Sarmiento has always been a role model for living life to the fullest while still striving for and reaching your goals (still never figured out when he slept). Between all of his classes and extracurriculars, he managed to draw us all into many, many late night board games at Donut Stop over the years. He has always had an unbridled enthusiasm for life and people and adventure, and will continue to be my role model for finding and being yourself every day. Although he lives in Dallas, his spirit is still in Omaha, reignited every time he visits for good food and conveniently timed rule changes.

Emilee Hunter-Maguire

Bridesmaid

Emilee and I went to high school together, and on our senior year college spring break trip, she managed to convince me to attend Creighton with her. She lived on the same floor as Nick freshman year, and she is likely the reason I recognized Nick's face and sat down next to him in class sophomore year, so I definitely owe her a lot. She's always helped keep me in balance, and never fails to make me think about things in a new way. I'm so excited to see where life takes us from here.

Alex Sass

Groomsman

The biggest Creighton fan I have ever met, Sass and I have shared many moments enjoying the wide world of sports. After grad school he returned to Omaha to open arms and great success in his work. He has been a close friend since sophomore year of undergrad and has been both a figurative and literal source of support the whole time. We will miss his presence greatly but are positive he will find a good reason/sporting event to make his way to Phoenix and visit.

Christy Marchiando

Bridesmaid

Christy and I lived on the same floor freshman year at Creighton, and I managed to convince her to live with me for the next 3 years. I can always count on her for anything, and I'm so proud of all that she has accomplished. She's a constant friend, and has been a huge support over all the years. Distance and a pandemic have made in person meetings hard, but we always pick up right where we left off. I'm so thankful she's agreed to be part of this day.

Jeff Bunsness

Groomsman

Another member of the chemistry major crew (along with Scott), Jeff and I first met in freshmen year calculus. I should have known from then, but despite many years of knowing him, I will never get over his absurd math abilities. As he works his way through internal medicine residency we haven’t gotten to see him as much as we’d like, but we know he will make an incredible doctor and continue to be a great friend, even when all he has to offer is a high quality hug and a smile.

Christine Prissel

Bridesmaid

Christine and I first met freshman year, and bonded over a love of peanut butter M&Ms (ironically, she also married a man with a peanut allergy, so we both avoid them now). She was adopted into our floor, and has been someone I can always count on to be up for an adventure ever since. She is unfailingly kind and is someone I am so lucky to have in my life. I'm so proud of her for pursuing her dreams, and I can't wait to see what adventure comes next.

Hunter Allen

Groomsman

One of my oldest college friends, we met early freshman year and spent a lot of time learning chemistry through stupid accents and random interludes of Youtube videos. It has been a pleasure to grow through the years with such a kind hearted and compassionate man. He will graduate from medical school in early May and will be going to do a family medicine residency, so we will miss his many segues and semi-related commentary.

Maggie Franz

Bridesmaid

Maggie is Nick's younger sister, and it has been so much fun to build our relationship and cheer her on as she makes her way through life. I'm lucky to have such great people in the family I'm marrying into, and I'm so proud of Maggie and excited to see where life takes her!

Tim Marlow

Groomsman

A wonderful family man, accountant, and Rachel’s older brother, it has been a great joy to get to know and become friends with Tim. Although he’s far better than me at golf, I’ve enjoyed getting to talk sports and food, while learning more about the Marlow family childhood. I am grateful he is sharing in this wonderful day with us and looking forward to many family gatherings to come.

Brianna Wilcke

Personal Attendant

We initially bonded as Hawkeye fans in Husker country while at Creighton, and it quickly blossomed into a friendship that I couldn't be more thankful for. It's been so much fun watching the doctor she has become, and small town Iowa is so lucky to have you to care for them. Bri is the person I can count on for anything, and I'm so happy she's agreed to be my personal attendant.

Scott Laurenzo

Usher

Scott seamlessly fits into both sides of the bridal party, having been a high school friend of Rachel’s and an undergraduate friend of both of ours. After Creighton graduation, Rachel and Scott ended up in school together again, so we had the opportunity to continue to see each other and develop the friendship further. As chief resident and soon to be pulmonary/critical care fellow, Scott has also been an example of humble leadership and we both look forward to seeing where his career path takes him, as long as we get to meet up at conferences along the way.

Charlotte Peck

Flower Girl

Rachel's niece, and the one who first gave her her favorite title of "Aunt". She's bright, spunky, and full of amazing hugs. We are so excited to have Charlotte be a part of our day!

Joshua Maguire

Usher

Another Des Moines ex-pat, Joshua was an elementary and high school friend of Rachel’s who became a good friend during undergrad. He is the husband to bridesmaid Emilee and we have very much enjoyed getting together with both of them to have drinks and discuss everything under the sun. Although we’ll be further away, we look forward to continuing to get together when possible and expanding the board game opportunities between us.

Lucia Marlow

Flower Girl

Rachel's niece, and the grandchild who reminds Wawa of Rachel the most. She's confident once she knows you, loves fiercely, and wants the world to be a better place. We are so excited to have Lucia as a part of our day!

Bennett Steinkamp

Ring Bearer

Rachel's godson, and the oldest child of one her oldest friends. He's smart, hilarious, and able to build anything he sets his mind to. We're so excited to have Bennett be a part of our day!

Dean Peck

Ring Bearer

Rachel's nephew, the quintessential middle child who is usually willing to go with the flow. He has a big dimpled smile, a love for dinosaurs, and is always willing to cuddle up with a book. We are so excited to have Dean as a part of our day!

Oliver Peck

Honorary Ring Bearer

Rachel's nephew and godson, a little too young to reliably walk down the aisle at naptime, but not to be left out of the celebration. His easygoing personality has been so fun to watch develop, as his troublemaking side has started to come out! We are so excited to have Oliver be a part of our day!

Nile Marlow

Honorary Ring Bearer

Rachel's nephew, a little too young to walk down the aisle at naptime, but not to be left out of the celebration. He has been so much fun to watch grow up, as he has moved from being a very serious baby to smiley toddler! We are so excited to have Nile be a part of our day!
