Café Du Monde – City Park

If you want Beignets without the hassle of the French Quarter, head up to City Park! There is a full service Cafe Du Monde location there and great walking paths to stretch your legs or even rent a bicycle.

Bywater Bakery

The quiche is to die for, other good breakfast options and music on some mornings.

A old diner run by a greek couple, great for a quick and cheap breakfast option.

If you want Eggs Benedict this is the place to go! A local chain, but a reliable one.

Get a delicious Po-boy, try Matt's favorite the Fried Oyster or Rachel's favorite the Roast Beef. Be sure to grab plenty of napkins!

Dat Dog

A great staple with a variety of hot dogs (even alligator sausage!). Lovely patio and a great option if you have little ones in tow.

Liuzza's by the Track

Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar

Grab some delicious chargrilled oysters, if you're up for raw oysters try to go for happy hour between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm. The frozen pomegranate mojito is a fan favorite.

Clesi's Seafood Restaurant & Catering

Option around town to get some crawfish! You do have to order by the pound, the recommended amount is 2 to 4 pounds per person. Don't skimp on the potatoes, corn, sausage, and garlic!

The Blue Crab Restaurant and Oyster Bar

For a different landscape head up to the lakefront for some seafood options. They also have various New Orleans classics.

Zydeco's Restaurant

If you are up for a short drive, head out to Belle Chase for some good seafood and Matt's favorite gumbo.

The best ice cream in town! Try Rachel's favorite the Red Velvet or Matt's Favorite the Peanut Butter Fudge Pie.

The Bulldog, Uptown

We went on our first date here! Great place to grab a beer and sit on a patio. 21+ only.

The Delachaise Wine Bar

Try the duck fat fries and seasonally flavored creme brûlée, and enjoy sitting on St. Charles while the streetcars go by.

Bacchanal Fine Wine & Spirits

Visit this wine bar to enjoy some music outside with a bottle of wine. Don't let the name fool you a full bar is available upstairs as well as some delicious small bites, the bacon wrapped dates are our favorite.

A New Orleans classic, arrive early for a Hurricane and to snag a seat in the dueling piano lounge. An option with air conditioning and bathrooms right off of Bourbon Street.

New Orleans Original Daiquiris

For the full New Orleans experience, get a drive thru frozen daiquiri. Just leave the straw sealed until you are at your final destination.
