Question

Why a Halloween Wedding?

Answer

"Halloween is my favorite holiday," said the Bride. The wedding was always planned for October, and it felt serendipitous that the last Saturday of the month fell on Halloween.

Question

Should I wear a costume?

Answer

No costume necessary, haha. While this event falls on Halloween, we will only make subtle nods to the holiday, not have it take center stage. We do want you to thinking dramatic attire to match the masquerade aspect. Wear something you can't wear anywhere else! Masquerade masks will be provided but if you want to bring your own please do!

Question

What is Cocktail Attire?

Answer

Cocktail attire is semi-formal—think: elevated, polished, and dressy. Ladies, think elegant cocktail or midi dresses in rich fall tones (black, dark red, dark green, brown, or gold). Gentlemen, suits or dress slacks with jackets and ties. No jeans, polos, or casual wear, please.

Question

I Don't Live Near You, Where Can I Stay?

Answer

Thank you in advance for making the trip, we will be thrilled to have you! The Shoals offers several lodging options. We recommend the Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge (personal favorite) for its beauty and convenience. Make sure to visit our "Need a Place to Stay?" page!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes please! This is meant to be a family-friendly event, and children are welcome. To ensure they enjoy the holiday too, we will have trick-or-treat stations for them.
