There is a free parking lot directly in front of Morehead Planetarium. Uber/Lyft is also readily available in the area. For those staying at the hotel block, a shuttle will be departing the hotel at 4:45pm, and return shuttles after the wedding will be at 9:15pm and 10:45pm.
The wedding ceremony will be taking place in the planetarium itself. Please, do not have your phone out at any point during the ceremony - even for just a quick photo. This is not just a request from the bride and groom - the planetarium prohibits phones during all shows as well! The reason for this is that any light from your phone will illuminate the entire room. This creates light pollution that makes the stars not visible and detracts from all guests' night vision.
The dress code is formal attire. Make it fun and festive! We are explicitly encouraging fun accessories, artistic makeup, and any other kind of expression that will contribute to the vibe.
Please note that this is an adults-only event. While we love your little ones, we are only able to accommodate the children in the wedding party.
