TLDR: Sean proposed to Rachael at Craters of the Moon National Park in September 2020, while they were vacationing in Sun Valley, Idaho. Long version: On the second day of their seven-day trip, Sean tore his right Achilles climbing off a horse after a back-country horseback riding session in the remote Sawtooth mountains of central Idaho. Sean had hoped to propose while hiking the trails of Craters of the Moon NP later that week. Unable to walk but still determined to propose, Sean instead asked Rachael while they were seated in his beloved Subaru, looking out at the unreal landscape of the national park. Due to COVID, we decided to postpone our wedding until summer 2022. We are so looking forward to celebrating our wedding day with you!
