Travel Note
We will be getting married in Rory's mother's hometown of Macas, located in the Amazon region. Getting there is quite the journey. We are so humbled and grateful for your enthusiasm to travel so far to celebrate our wedding. We hope that you can take advantage of the opportunity to explore this beautiful South American country!
Flight
These airlines have direct flights into Quito: Delta- through Atlanta American Airlines- through Miami or Dallas JetBlue- through Fort Lauderdale Copa Airlines- through Panama City, Panama We tend to fly with Copa as they are usually the most affordable, and have been very reliable.
Hotel
If you don't plan to spend time visiting Quito, we recommend staying in this hotel for the night prior to traveling to Macas. Travel arrangements from Quito to Macas must be made prior to your arrival.
Travel Note
The trip to Macas from Quito is about a 6 hour drive, during which you will see the diverse landscape of the country as you descend from the dry Andes mountain range into the lush green foothills of the Amazon. We recommend starting this road trip in the morning. By lunchtime you will arrive in Banos, a cute touristy town located in the shadows of the Tungurahua volcano. Take an hour or two to have lunch here and check out the sites. You could also stay here for a night or two to take advantage of the adventure sports offered through the many tour guide companies located in town. Please let us know what day you plan to travel from Quito to Macas so that we can arrange a private van to pick you up from your hotel in Quito. If you only have a few days to stay in the country, we can arrange for a van to take you back to Quito.

This is the location of the wedding reception. We have reserved all of the rooms for the night of the wedding for guests traveling from abroad.
