Things To Do

You are traveling to Illinois, home of one of the best cities in the world. We know some people may extend their trip to see what this state can offer! Check back often, we will continue to add things that come to mind.

Country Donuts

181 West Virginia Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014

Best donuts we have ever had, point blank. Also open 24 hours!

Randall Road

Randall Road, Algonquin, IL

This is Lalo's favorite street in Illinois. We have an outdoor mall, restaurants (Dave's Hot Chicken iykyk), and other activities. It's a long road, but we usually stay in the Algonquin, IL area.

Tom's Farm Market

10214 Algonquin Road, Huntley, IL 60142

One of Rachael's favorites! They offer produce, but they also have seasonal activities and treats for the month of October. Don't miss out on those apple cider donuts!

Goebbert's Farm Pingree Grove

42W813 Reinking Road, Pingree Grove, IL 60140

Rachael went here as a kid during our fall months and have lots of fun pictures! A really great place for kiddos to hang out.

CityPASS

If this is your first time coming to Chicago, this is a great place to start! You can see all of the major landmarks and activities with one ticket purchase. Some activities do require a reservation, so please plan ahead if you plan on using this. And make sure you map it out, this city is very big and you may have to walk very far! (Rachael has done it, you just need good walking shoes!) This is also just a great resource to tell you what the fun things are in the city.

Wrigley Field

1060 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60613

Wrigleyville is a fun place to go! Lalo and Rachael typically take the train to the Addison train station and then take an uber as close as they can get to Wrigley. We can't predict anything now, but we could have some Cubs games going on in early October! Even if there are no games, there are lots of things to explore and usually the stadium is open to look at.

Michigan Ave

Michigan Ave in Chicago has all your shops! There are also some things that pop up like the Harry Potter experience. Take a look on Google/Apple Maps to see if there is something you want to check out!

Stan's Donuts & Coffee

181 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60601

One of Lalo's favorite donut shops! His favorite is the Nutella filled donuts.

Woodfield Mall

5 Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, IL 60173

Woodfield mall has some many stores! It is one of the biggest malls we have. In the Schaumburg area in general, there are a lot of things to do besides the mall. We recommend checking it out!
