Consolidated Gold Mine

185 Consolidated Gold Mine Road, Dahlonega, GA 30533

Rachael grew up visiting this mine on summer field trips and is excited to share this nostalgic favorite! Step back in time at the Consolidated Gold Mine, one of Dahlonega’s most iconic attractions and home to Georgia’s largest hard rock gold mine. Dahlonega was the site of the first major U.S. Gold Rush in 1828, and this mine offers a fascinating glimpse into that rich history. Tour the historic underground tunnels, pan for real gold and gemstones, and learn about the life of 19th-century miners. A fun, hands-on activity for all ages!

Shenanigans

87 North Chestatee Street, Dahlonega, GA 30533

Celebrate the groom’s Irish roots with a stop at Shenanigans, a cozy pub just off the Dahlonega Square. We shared a meal here the day we signed our venue contract! Enjoy classic Irish fare, local beers, and live music in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

Foothill Grill

995 Morrison Moore Parkway West, Dahlonega, GA 30533

Start your day right at Foothill Grill, the best breakfast in Dahlonega! This restaurant is a cozy, cabin-style diner located just off Dahlonega’s historic square and is a local favorite. They serve all-day breakfast (try their famous cinnamon rolls!) and American lunch classics.
