The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, weather permitting. This will be held on a grassy area, so please keep this in mind when making a shoe choice! The reception will take place under a covered pavilion, with wind curtains available as necessary. There is also a beach that we will have access to, should you like to dip your toes!
Coastal Semi-Formal Women are encouraged to wear a dress or jumpsuit. Men are encouraged to wear a suit or sports jacket with slacks and a tie.
Although we wish we could include all of the wonderful kids in our lives, we can only accommodate a few select children. We are hoping to have a primarily adults-only party and would love for all parents to relax and enjoy themselves! Any children will be included in your RSVP if we can accommodate them. Thank you for your understanding!
Shuttle services for wedding guests who opted for transportation will be provided from the Wayfinder Hotel in Newport. The shuttles will leave promptly at 2:45 PM from the hotel and arrive at the venue around 3:05 PM. After the reception, guests will have the option of returning to the Wayfinder Hotel or joining the couple for an after party at Benjamin’s in downtown Newport. There is free parking at the venue for those who choose not to utilize the shuttles. Uber/Lift is available. However, please keep in mind that this is also the Newport Boat Show weekend, therefore rideshare options may be limited as Newport will be quite busy.
The ceremony will start at 3:30 PM, with cocktail hour, dinner and dancing to follow. Since Fort Getty is a town park, there is a strict end time of 9:15 PM in order to have all guests off of the premises. Please be considerate of this as the clean up crew arrives. Don't want the party to end? Just make your way to the shuttle and join us for an after party at Benjamin’s in downtown Newport!
