The short story: Katy & Tim met in college at UNE. The rest is history. The unabridged version: Being in the same major at a small university means that most classes are filled with a lot of familiar faces. However, one **Devine** face in particular stood out to Katy. One night, given some liquid courage and a little peer pressure from her friends... ;) Katy decided to reach out to Tim the old-fashioned way, via slipping a handwritten note under his dorm room door. Only there was one problem, it was the wrong Tim! Flash forward a few months through some serious embarrassment (and do we dare say *regret*), Katy and Tim finally shared their first date in December, 2012 at a local coffee shop in Portland, ME. After that, the rest was truly history and they've been inseparable ever since. Their advice: write the note! Absolutely no regrets here :)

Nearly 10 years later after that first date, Katy & Tim travelled to Italy in September, 2022. During the last part of the trip, they were staying in Positano on the Amalfi Coast. After a day of wandering the city and enjoying some of their favorite meals, they went back to their apartment to relax before their early flight home the next morning. Katy immediately noticed how beautiful the moon looked from their balcony and was admiring the sight when Tim asked if he could turn on the lights. While finding the question a bit odd, since the lights would ruin the sight of the moon, fireworks began going off in the distance. Distracted by the fireworks, Katy felt a tug on her arm and looked over to find Tim down on one knee! And, well, you wouldn't be reading this if she didn't say yes :)
