Little did we know that two individuals from two opposite sides of the U.S. would find love. Quotasze and Raven met in Mesa, Arizona while attending professional school at A.T. Still University. We first met informally on a group zoom call from our graduate professional scholarship program. Raven admired Quotasze passion about his community and noticed a loving side of him when he cried while relating to a video about the health challenges in the Mississippi Delta. Quotasze made the first official in person introduction by sliding in her “DM” to invite her to lunch. Of course Raven agreed and they both found commonalities in their experiences. Quotasze and Raven supported each other through their academic studies during the first year of school. Before Raven left to Louisiana for clinical rotations, she was the first to express her true love to Quotasze and he mutually agreed. We were inseparable while Raven was apart and literally called each other daily while Raven was away for a year. After rotations Raven returned back to Arizona and our forever love begins.
