Matron of Honor
Number 2 of the Henry Girls. Even though she ended my only child streak, I was and am grateful to have gained a sister and my first forever friend. She's uber giving and has had my back from the beginning. She has always graciously listened to all my dreams, bright ideas and my dramas. She sometimes thinks she's the big sister, but everyone knows who's really the boss!
Best Man
Smoke is one of the most influential brothers I know. We met back in 1995ish at Fort Riley, KS and quickly became friends. So much so, we spent at least a day together ever weekend doing something, like fishing, cooking out, and playing spades and/or dominoes. But most importantly he affected my life in a very positive way. I look back over my Military and post Military career and his stamp is all over it.
Matron of Honor
Number 3 and baby of the Henry Girls. I was so excited when she came along and I'm still just as excited and proud to have her as my sister and forever friend. She would always cry whenever I had a boyfriend because she felt they were taking me away from her, but I think she's finally ok now that I have Brodwrick. Oh and she's the mother of my favorite niece and nephew!
Groomsman
Big T is a character like no other, who is completely dedicated to his craft. We met back at Fort Riley in 1997ish and became good friends over the years. It helped that he raised me from a wee little pup, and sent me on my way to conquer life as I see fit, with a few extra tools to leave my imprint on those I encounter.
Bridesmaid
1/3 of the January Birthday crew! We've been friends since ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and still going strong! I tease her that she bullied me, but I knew she just wanted to be my friend. Loyal and true..she's been there through all of life's moments. Oh and she's full of life and stays ready for a turn-up to Uncle Luke!
Groomsman
Terry and I met in 2001 at Fort Knox, KY and instantly sparked a friendship. We are like-minded and instantly bonded. The friendship the we kindled has and will always stand the test of time and distance. Terry is truly my brother from another mother. We have had many long conversations about promotions and life in general. I welcome all that will come in the future.
Bridesmaid
1/3 of the January Birthday crew! We have known each since elementary school, but it was Flag Corps at Jefferson County High School that brought us together and solidified our friendship. She has a heart of gold and has also been there for all of life's moments. With her there's NEVER a dull moment and she keeps it all the way real!
Groomsman
Teddy, the man, the myth the legend. We met at Fort Knox, KY my last time around in 06/07. It was bikes and the need for speed that brought us together. Even though we worked together and had a great working relationship, motorcycles was the common link. During that time at Knox, we shared some great times and conversation that still touch home today. Years may pass but good friends never fade...they withstand the test of time.
Bridesmaid
We met during a summer program before starting college at the greatest HBCU in the land, Florida A&M University. We hit it off immediately and even eventually became roomies. It helped that she had the best snacks and gadgets in the dorm, but really it was her warm and caring (but no-nonsense) personality that drew me in and I count myself blessed to have her as a friend.
Groomsman
Ricky is the newest to my small circle of friends. He's one astute brother and is continuing to further his education. We met in 2014 working in Orlando FL. To our surprise, we had several things in common, such as the love of Track and Field, Bowling and that we were brothers of the same fraternity.
Bridesmaid
We met through a mutual friend at FAMU. Mutual friend is long gone, but we still remain. She's one of the most loving and genuine people I know and she makes me feel like I'm her favorite person. Somehow she knew Brodwrick and I were to be even before I did...going as far to sign me up on The Knot!
Groomsman
Michael V is the wildest Officer I know and sharp as a knife. We met a work a few years ago and like all my friends we had an instant connection. I've heard him say a couple times.... you had me at hello and I'd just laugh and say man you are a mess. We've had some crazy conversations about life and all that comes with trying to live it to its fullest. Like he has for me, I hope I have shared at least one informational nugget that will stand the test of time.
Bridesmaid
We met during my first year at Lockheed Martin as young whippersnappers looking to take on corporate America. We became instant friends and travel buddies. Her empathy and concern for others is refreshing and endearing. We can spend hours philosophizing about life and always come back from vacation with a story of our 'unplanned' adventures!
