The Warren Wilson River Trailhead is located at Charles D. Owen Park - A beautiful park with a gravel loop around a lake with mountain view. For more info on the park itself, check out this link: https://www.kidsinparks.com/charles-d-owen-park The Warren Wilson river trail is a very mellow, non technical, flat trail along the Swannanoa river. We highly highly recommend you check it out. About 1 mile into the trail you can see our the Hidden River Venue across the river! It is an out and back so you can easily chose the distance you'd like to hike.
Our favorite hike! A 2.1 mile loop. The first half is a steady hike to the top of the mountain. Most walkers / hikers would really enjoy this hike. "All Trails" is a great website / app to find local hikes in the area based on difficulty and characteristics ( terrain, waterfalls, views, etc.) Reach out to Kathleen or Jacob if you have any questions regarding outdoor activities!
