Maid of Honor
Deanna and Stephanie have been best friends since they were five years old. They met in 1998, in kindergarten, when they both reached for the blue crayon to use. Deanna may be shy, but she is also one of the most loyal and consistent friends you could have. She has seen Stephanie through thick and thin, and has stood by her at her worst. Deanna and Stephanie watch Hocus Pocus together every year, and they enjoy doing creative projects like journaling and scrapbooking together. Deanna and Stephanie were often mistaken for sisters when they were growing up, and would plan their weddings together during sleepovers. Stephanie’s dream wedding has changed a LOT since these 8-year-olds planned their weddings, but one thing has remained consistent: Deanna being the Maid of Honor.
Bailey Kraft
Matron of Honor
Bailey and Stephanie met in graduate school in 2015. They became each other’s first friend in grad school when they realized they both had an obsession with The Vampire Diaries. Bailey and Stephanie enjoy exchanging romantasy book recommendations, playing Mario Party and other games together, and generally having fun. Bailey and Stephanie also really love chilling in a pool together with a mimosa and a good (dirty) book. Bailey is fierce, loyal, and will definitely be the one to hold Quinn down if Stephanie decides to smash wedding cake in his face.
Ashley Elcock
Bridesmaid
Ashley and Stephanie also became friends in graduate school in 2015. Ashley hates it when Stephanie brings this up, but Ashley didn’t like Stephanie when they first met. However, Stephanie grew on her (we hope) and Ashley’s been stuck with her ever since. Ashley and Stephanie often joke that they are the same person, as they often have purchased or worn the same clothes by accident - only realizing that they’re matching after they’ve gotten in the car. They love dancing, getting margaritas, and making book/TV show recommendations to each other that they know the other one will never read or watch. Ashley is the sister of groomsman Ryan, and is also a good friend of Quinn’s as they have been friends since 8th grade. Quinn and Stephanie met at Ashley’s birthday party, so we have her to thank for this wedding!
Emma Tuthill
Bridesmaid
Emma and Stephanie met in 2011 when they were college suitemates. They have always loved watching bad or weird movies together, either laughing at how awful the movie is or asking each other “what the fuck?!?” as events unfold on the screen. This is also probably why they now enjoy watching Love Island and discussing it - it’s terrible and there are plenty of WTF moments, so it’s like a 2-for-1 deal. But, Emma and Stephanie make up for their enjoyment of trashy TV by playing board games or going to bookstores, art museums, musicals, and historic homes when traveling together.
Samantha Johnston
Bridesmaid
Sam and Stephanie met in 2018 when Sam approached Stephanie after a presentation Stephanie had given. They later met for lunch and connected on a professional level. After Stephanie recommended Sam for a job at her place of work, Sam and Stephanie hit it off as friends, too. Sam is the only person Stephanie has ever met who actually wants to stay in a bookstore as long as Stephanie does. They also really enjoy yoga and meditating together, and have a shared love of (vegan) donuts. Sam has also become good friends with Quinn and they are fond of the same music and movies. The three of them enjoy hiking and camping together, as well as going to various festivals.
Alexander “Mo” Guillermo
Officiant / Best Man
Alex, known as “Mo” to everyone besides family, is both the Officiant of the ceremony and the Best Man. Alex is Quinn’s older brother and is two-and-a-half years older than the groom. Before Alex began dating his beautiful wife, Casey, Alex and Quinn had never spent more than 5 days apart from one another. They are still practically inseparable, and now only live 5 minutes away from one another. Quinn and Stephanie both enjoy spending time with Alex and Casey and the four of them have dinner together often. Quinn, Alex, and groomsmen Martin and Dane were all in a garage band together growing up, and still play together whenever they can.
Martin Bobcek
Groomsman
Martin and the groom have been friends since 7th grade, when Martin posed the question, “if Harry Potter is so magical, why didn’t he make himself look less nerdy?” Since then, Martin and his wife Linnae (also a childhood friend) have been a constant loving presence in the Guillermo family and beloved family friends. Of course, Martin had a recent falling out with the Guillermo family for failing to name his first-born son after the father of the groom. However, we’ve chosen to overlook this betrayal for now.
Ryan Elcock
Groomsman
Quinn, apparently having no interest in meeting new people (apart from the bride) since graduating high school, met Ryan in 2005. Sharing a fondness for cigarettes, underage drinking, and joking around, Ryan and Quinn quickly became close friends. Ryan and his sister Ashley (who is a bridesmaid) have been very close family friends to both the bride and groom. Ryan is a police officer for LaPorte County and will act as a personal bodyguard to the groom.
Dane Manaea
Groomsman
Martin introduced Quinn to Dane in 2004 when Martin invited them both over to play some music together. Ever since that time, Dane and Quinn have been close. From playing music in high school, getting into drunken escapades in college, or sharing an often debated fondness for films, Dane and Quinn have always had a lot of fun together. Dane is a veteran of the United States Navy and continues to play music regularly with much of the groom’s bridal party.
Steven Guillermo
Groomsman
Steven is Quinn’s eldest brother. Despite formally torturing the groom by touching the groom’s toes as a child (something the groom still has rather a distaste for), Steven has been a wonderful big brother. Steven is a veteran of the United States Air Force, and Steven and Quinn always enjoyed having bonfires and hiking in California together during Steven’s tenure in the Air Force.
