We had known that the other person existed for a number of years - through a mutual friend, Ashley - but had never met in person. Stephanie called Ashley once when Ashley was going to a concert with Quinn and some other friends, and put her on speakerphone to say ‘hi’ to all these people Stephanie had never met. Quinn remembers saying ‘hi’ to Stephanie as well. A couple years later, Quinn and Stephanie met in-person at Ashley’s Halloween-themed birthday party. Stephanie was wearing a masquerade mask, and Quinn’s face was caked in zombie makeup. But, we ended up hitting it off. We talked all night, danced together, and were inseparable the rest of the night. We exchanged phone numbers the next morning and haven’t gone a day without speaking since.
