Second Line

After the ceremony, we invite you to join us for our Second Line Parade! A second line is a vibrant New Orleans tradition, a joyful, music-filled parade rooted in the city’s rich cultural history. It began with jazz funeral processions, where the “first line” led with a brass band and the “second line” followed behind, dancing, waving handkerchiefs or parasols, and celebrating together. Today, it’s a spirited way to mark life’s happiest occasions. Our brass band will lead us through the streets of the French Quarter as we make our way to continue the celebration. The parade route is about a 15–20 minute walk. For anyone who prefers not to walk, we’ll have a few pedicabs available to ride along and enjoy the fun.

Colorful Formal Attire

New Orleans weddings are all about incredible food, flowing drinks, and a lively celebration, and we’re embracing that spirit fully! Instead of a formal seated dinner, we’ll be serving a generous variety of delicious passed hors d’oeuvres and chef-attended action stations throughout the entire night. There will be plenty to enjoy all evening long, so come ready to indulge and pace yourself, you definitely won’t leave hungry!
