Registry

We do not have a registry, only a "Newly Wed Fund" to receive monetary gifts electronically or physically the day of the wedding.
There will also be an opportunity to write a message in a red envelope and place in a collection box. In the Chinese culture, guests give red envelopes (hóngbāo / 红包) with money inside to the couple as wedding gifts. Red symbolizes happiness, prosperity and good luck.
Superstition is also engrained within the culture. Typically, even numbers are considered auspicious because they come in pairs. The number "8" (bā / 八) sounds like fortune (fā / 發) in Chinese and is believed to carry a prosperous meaning. The only unlucky even number is number "4" (sì / 四) , which sounds like death (sǐ / 死) and is believed to be an unlucky omen.
Please do NOT bring any physical gifts to the venue day of our wedding.
