For some background, Riki (my best friend since I was 7) had been trying to get me to go to Ada Bible's young adult group called Union for years! I had been single for roughly 2 years at the time when Riki really pushed me to go. I begrudgingly said yes. I met most of her small group members during the hangout period. They were such a wonderful group of people, and I got to chat with almost every member. The one member I didn't get to chat with until later was Cody. While I was chatting with the rest of the small group, he was going around stacking chairs and helping clean up. Once he settled down, Riki had told me about the Star Wars pens he made and that was the start of the many minutes (or maybe hours) of him telling me all about his life and hobbies. From then on, I had thought to myself, "this man is interesting and unlike any other man I've ever met I want to get to know him better."
