Cleveland is known for this place. They serve massive corned beef sandwiches and they are delicious. I like mine with mustard and sauerkraut on rye. If you want to enjoy some local fare, stop here.
West Side Market is Cleveland’s largest and oldest continuously operating public market. The Market has served fresh produce, meats, bakery, dairy, prepared foods and more to Cleveland residents and visitors since 1912. I highly recommend you try out the following places when you visit: - Steve's Gyros - great gyros. Don't expect the best customer service but the gyros are delicious and they give you plenty of meat. You must have cash. I believe $20 will get you a nice size gyro and a drink. - White Flower Cake Shopee - They have the best cake and cupcakes. They offer delicious ready-to-go sweets such as buttercream cakes, macarons, cookies, and brownies, including vegan and gluten-free items. - Market Import Store - A must stop if you enjoy cooking or entertaining. I always get a pint of Castelvetrano olives when I'm there. So tasty. Tucked into the corner of West Side Market by Frank’s Bratwurst, The Import Store has over 100 varieties of imported items.
I'm an artist, so this is one of my favorite places to visit in Cleveland. General Admission is always free. The museum has its own parking garage, accessible from Jeptha Drive. Visitors can pay on-site at the garage entrance using a credit card or cash. Street parking is also available.
If you haven’t seen the classic A Christmas Story, go watch it now. It was filmed in Cleveland! There’s just so much to see — the house itself, the museum, and the gift shop. In order to see inside the house, you need to go on a tour, which you can get at the gift shop. They start every 30 minutes from 10:15 am onward! The tour goes into the history of the movie, why it was filmed in Cleveland, and a lot more fun facts. Then you’ll have time to wander around the house, which has a lot of fun scenes from the movie. By the way, you can stay over at the house if you want.
This is one of my favorite parks. Its great for watching the sunset right on the lake from the Solstice steps. This was also a location for the underground railroad, Freedom's East Station. You find the plaque on the your way down the ramp to capture a nice picture of the cityscape off the lake.
If you want Jamaican carry out, this is the spot! Their oxtail meal is ridiculously expensive for no reason. So I get the curry shrimp box and ask for them to put the oxtail gravy on my rice. It's spicy so be careful. But yummy! They deliver via Uber and Door dash as well if you don't want food from the hotel.
Quantez surprised me with a really sweet delicious gift here for my birthday while I was out to dinner with friends. This was one of the best meals I've had and one of the most special days when I first realized God was answering my prayers. Highly recommend you try the Moroccan Spiced Meatballs and the Spicy Pulled Lamb Hummus. You may want to lick the plate like I did. Also, there mussels are yummy and their sticky toffee date cake looks unassuming but it is delicious!
