Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Samantha Feldman Juli

Matron of Honor

Sam never envisioned herself being referred to as a "matron" of anything but is taking this new honor and running with it, goddammit. Her favorite memory of Jess involves winning an argument by pouring a bag of potato chips into Jess's lap, and happily vacuuming up the mess because she was no longer the infuriated one. Sam says she is so excited to welcome the Horowitzes into the extended family, as she has always wanted even more younger siblings than she already has.

Benjamin Horowitz

Best Man

Ever since he first saw Ben as a baby, Max knew he had a best friend for life. Growing up, the two were permanent playmates in countless games of driveway basketball, golf course football, and more. They also spent time as GameBoy buddies and Pokemon masters, in addition to their short-lived careers as aspiring rap artists. As Max was his personal alarm clock, Ben was the first person Max would see every morning before school and gave Max the opportunity to discover creative ways of waking the dead. Now supposedly adults, Max is absolutely impressed by the man his brother has become and is privileged to have Ben as his best man.

Madeline Horowitz

Maid of Honor

Having been with Max for over 7 years, Jess has been lucky enough to watch Maddie grow up into the amazing person that she is. Although Maddie has some great memories with Max- i.e. being drowned in their childhood pool or going to Disneyworld together- she's always wanted a sister. She cannot wait to continue asking Jessie for boy advice and steal her clothes, and Jess cannot wait to officially have a younger sister to do this.

Zachary Feldman

Groomsman

Being the oldest of three, Max never knew what it was like to have a big bro until Zach came into the picture. The two first met when Zach came down to Durham during Max and Jess's senior year. Through family vacations, many hot tub sessions, and sampling new brews, their bond grew even stronger. Each is thrilled to have the other as a groomsman in his wedding party. More importantly, each gains a brother for life.

Bernadette Feldman

Bridesmaid

Bernadette (heretofore referred to as Bern), has truly become the younger sister- though not thought of like that- Jess has always wanted in the Feldman trio. Bern is the best aunt to Jess and Max's pup Tucker, giving him all the snuggles and love a pup could want. Bern is an amazing musician and we are so lucky that she sang her way into Zach's heart and our family. With a heart full of kindness and kitchen full of delicious homemade EVERYTHING, Jessie wouldn't have it any other way than having her as a bridesmaid on her special day.

Jonathan Juli

Groomsman

After meeting at a family gathering in Scotch Plains, Max and Jon drove back into the city together. They connected over their fandom for fantasy novels and Family Guy, in addition to performing the role of handsome bachelors dating beautiful Feldman women. Together, Jon and Max enjoy fine whiskey and telling dad jokes that only they find funny. Max is excited to have Jon next to him on his special day.

Lauren Feldman

Bridesmaid

Many are unaware of the following piece of trivia: Lauren's parents (Jessie's aunt and uncle) named her in ignorance of the fact that Lauren is also Jessie's middle name. Despite this completely accidental breaking of sacred Jewish Law, it seems providence has shone upon the friendship between these cousins. Lauren has always been supportive of Jess, once making sure she didn't bleed to death when her head was cracked open by an ill-timed throw of a wooden hairbrush (what else are older sisters for?). Jess is happy to repay such acts of kindness by including her cousin as one of the most important people in her wedding ceremony.

Abraham Friedman

Groomsman

Abie is one of Max's many cousins and has been around almost as long as the best man, Ben. Family Thanksgiving in Florida has always been the most anticipated time of the year as it guaranteed Abie would be in the Horowitz home for hangouts and sleepovers. Both share a love for football (no matter how miserable it is being Jets and Bears fans), bourbon, and The Simpson's Road Rage. Max is honored to have Abie up there with him for his big day.

Ellyn Korn

Bridesmaid

Ellyn and Jessie first met during Jessie's summer in DC before her junior year of college. the two shared a dorm at GW. Once Jessie finally convinced Ellyn to move to NYC, they became roommates on the upper west side - sharing weeknight bottles of wine after stressful days at work, baking and cooking, and watching lots of bachelor/bachelorette. As a first-hand witness to Jessie and Max's love story, Jess is excited for Ellyn to stand by her side on her special day.

Jay Vitha

Groomsman

Max and Jay first met as they were picking up refrigerators on their first day at Duke and realized they lived three doors down the hall from each other. From there, their friendship began, pledging AEPi together and becoming roommates during their sophomore year. Traditions such as Chinese food during Sunday Jets games and hosting movie nights developed and lasted through senior year. Jay is always present for Max's good news, especially when Max was accepted to medical school and in Cameron Indoor ready with champagne when Max popped the big question. Soon, Jay will be there when Max breaks the glass.

Colleen Mulligan

Bridesmaid

Colleen was Jess's college roommate junior and senior year at Duke. For all intents and purposes, she taught Jess how to be an adult- run a dishwasher, wipe down the counters after cooking, and even change the toilet paper roll (I mean really who knew how to do any of these things before they went to college?). Coco was there at the beginning of Max and Jessie's love story- making sure the two lovebirds never gave up on each other, even during ups and downs. Some would say she's even more obsessed with Max now than Jess is ;). Jess is over the moon to have Colleen as part of her special day as she'll be sure to keep the party going all night long.

Daniel Nolan

Groomsman

Max and Dan met as AEPi pledges during their freshman year at Duke. They quickly bonded over their love for sports, childhood cartoons, video games, and most importantly, Taco Bell. After living it up during their first two years at Duke, they became roommates in junior year, sleeping in side-by-side beds and creating the cooking show "Devil's Kitchen." Along with fellow groomsman Jay Vitha, they lived together at 822 Clarendon senior year. Since graduating, many reunions have taken place and Max looks forward to the ultimate reunion in November.

Aliza Stone

Bridesmaid

Aliza is Jess's oldest friend. They met putting together the Relay for Life at the Union County Magnet High School. Even though Aliza was a year younger than Jess, she truly has acted like the older and wiser friend. From board games and bowling to late-night talks, Aliza always knows how to bring a smile to Jess's face. Even though she now lives 3,000 miles away in California, Jess knows she can always count on her to pick up the phone to chat about anything and everything. Jess is beyond excited to give Aliza multiple reasons to fly across the country and for the two friends to be together!

Maximillian Kaye

Groomsman

When Barry Horowitz teamed up with Bill Kaye at Palm Beach Diabetes in 1992, he mentioned that he had a son named Max. Coincidentally, Bill's wife, Lisa was pregnant with a boy they planned to name Max as well. A few months later, the baby boys were dubbed "the Maxes". From days at the beach and rollerblading down the intercoastal to New Year's Eve sleepovers and Camp Cedar summers, the two Maxes always have a blast when they spend time together. Having his oldest friend by his side on his wedding day was always the plan.
