Even though I can’t recall my first memory of Taylor, our friendship began in kindergarten. I know most of my sleepovers were spent with Taylor ..killing zombies... drowning Sims or reading about vampires falling in love. Before long the Shultz’s and Santaguida’s became one big “framily.”

I first met Austin in JROTC in high school. I remember we hated each other at first, but after I invited him over to hang out after a school fundraiser, we became instant friends. From that point on we have been friends ever since, hanging out together constantly and practically living together.

I don’t even remember meeting Taylor for the “first time”. I suppose it was somewhere around preschool for both of us. I have this standout memory of us in elementary school trying to scare ourselves in the school mirror by chanting “Bloody Mary” over and over. As we got older, we became obsessed with friendship bracelets and animal crossing. Even today, our love for scaring ourselves, creating art, and playing silly games still continues.

I've known Austin since I was a baby, but one of my first memories with him is of us hanging out as kids playing Halo. This was the first violent video game I had ever played. When my mom saw us playing this she was so mad.

My first memory of Taylor, of course, involves junk-food. When her mom brought her along to my house, the first thing we decided to do was make a cake. We only got as far as making the batter though, because once we finished "tasting it," there was nothing left to bake!

We met in our first class at UNOH. It was a cold day and I offered to drop off Austin at his dorm. Pulling up to his dorm, my truck got rear-ended when the car behind me didn’t stop. Austin stepped out and asked if I was ok and said see y’all. We spoke about the accident the next day as I needed his information for the police report.

Taylor and I met as freshmen in high school, because teachers always called me Taylor and apparently they called her Natalie (because we’re both brown) and I wanted to know who this Taylor was and why no one could remember my name.
