Him: Throwing another bag of mulch in the bed of the customer’s truck, I noticed a gorgeous woman standing behind the register. I knew I had to find a way to get her attention… Her: Seeing startling green eyes across the cash register at my summer job, I tried to think of something clever to say as I handed him his change. Not entirely sure what was said, only knowing that I stammered like a fool, it felt like love at first sight. After that first encounter, I jumped at every chance I could get to work at the outside registers in order to catch another glimpse of Green-Eyes. Him: Just to talk to her, I found myself asking her any question I could think of, even if I already knew the answer. Just to get an excuse to be near her, I constantly found myself saying that I needed to use her phone at the register, even though I had a work phone of my own. I always found myself being the first to offer her help with customers, anything she needed at all, even on the days I had a line of customers of my own. I would find any excuse I could just to be in her life, because I knew she’d be the one I couldn’t get enough of.
