The location where it all began! Kunal and Punam met while attending Nerd Nite (think of Ted Talks, but more casually held at a local bar and anyone can present). Kunal could tell Punam was getting bored with the current presenter (its true) and Kunal asked if she wanted to walk across the street to East End Market for a quick bite. Punam thought that Kunal was very interesting to talk to, but a little awkward and difficult to read. She liked that Kunal had funny stories from San Francisco and India, both places that Punam had lived briefly. Kunal thought Punam was gorgeous, smart, totally different from him and possibly not from Earth. You see, she didn't understand the pop references he thought everyone on this planet should know. However, that didn't stop the pair from continuing to talk and teach each other about the world from each other's perspectives. A habit they hope to allows continue.

East End Market

The location of P+K's first mini-date <3 and one of their favorite Orlando establishments. Think of the Ferry Building in San Francisco, but 1/10th of the size but complete with an abundant sidewalk farm. Go here and enjoy a cup of coffee, fresh juice, or glass of wine while browsing local purveyors. Punam says "Don't leave without enjoying some cheese from La Femme du Fromage (a woman-owned fromagerie)" Kunal says "Dont leave without sharing a chocolate chip cookie with your loved one from Gideon's. The cookies are the BEST". Punam says "If you really love someone, you will buy them a whole cookie. Sharing is not caring when it comes to Gideon's. "

Wekiva Island Hike + Kayak

Feeling adventurous? Rent a kayak or paddle board and float down the Wekiva River where you may spot an alligator or two! If you know Punam, you know she has an obsession with water and Kunal is slowly embracing her passion for it!

West Orange Bike Trail

Winter Garden's Bike Trail is nestled in a charming small town with greet food and beer. in some strange way, this wonderful location we're suggesting could've possibly ended our relationship before it even began. You see, Kunal decided to go on a 20 mile bike ride with his married friends, Sunny and Faizal, the morning before his first real date with Punam (not counting the first mini-date where they met blind). Somewhere on this 20 mile journey, Kunal lost his phone, ID and credit cards and lost his only way of communicating to Punam since he didn't have her cell number yet! Long story short, she thought she was being stood up, but that was the furthest from his plans.

Lake Eola

Canaveral National Seashore

Our favorite nearby beach! It's not unusual for Punam to interrupt all of Kunal's plans for productivity and request a drive to this beach. It's about 35 miles away from downtown Orlando (40 minute drive) and more pristine (less commercially developed) than the surrounding beaches. As the beach is a little more secluded, we recommend packing a picnic versus on relying on restaurants near the shore. If you can wake up in time, we HIGHLY recommend trying to view the sunrise over the horizon.
