Like all great modern love stories, ours started on a dating app, with some casual flirting and a deep conversation about Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. (Clearly, we were meant to be) Ash canceled our first date (Zack took it well… eventually), but luckily, a second chance came along. Our grand romantic evening? Buffalo Wild Wings. Nothing says “this could be forever” like wings, fries, and mild first-date awkwardness. From there, things just clicked (like one of our favorite movies “Click”). We kept laughing and bonding over everything from video games to takeout orders, and eventually moved in together in 2023. Now we share a home with our two fluffy, dramatic Pomeranians, Maya and Milo, who graciously allow us to live in their house. Life’s been full of love, chaos, and barking ever since, and we can’t wait to celebrate our big day with you!

Since 2019, Zack had been dreaming of a trip to Japan with Ash and his friends. He and his longtime planning partner, Kyle, spent years organizing, re-organizing, and hoping. But between a global pandemic and one travel issue after another, the trip kept getting delayed. Just when it finally seemed like everything was set, their original flight to Japan was canceled last minute! Zack and Ash ended up Ubering three hours to Philadelphia to catch a new flight, because true love (and long-awaited vacations) don’t go down without a fight for a flight. Through it all, Zack had a little secret: he was carrying a ring through two countries for the entire trip. (Yes, he was sweating more than usual going through every airport security checkpoint.) Then, on June 4th, 2024, at the end of the trip in Seoul, South Korea, Zack took Ash on a ski lift up to Namsan Seoul Tower. With the city glowing below them, he got down on one knee and proposed. Ash said yes (and was very surprised!). They sealed their engagement with a lock now fastened to the fence at Namsan Tower, because nothing says “forever” like chaining your love to a scenic landmark. After five years of planning, detours, canceled flights, and secret ring smuggling, it all led to the perfect moment.
