The Drake

The Drake Hotel was built in 1920 as the nation's first-ever "urban resort," and was known for decades for the lavish parties and galas it hosted for Chicago's high-society and industrialists. Its history is intimately tied with that of Chicago's Prohibition Era speakeasies and bootlegging businesses. In this century, the hotel is known for hosting prominent individuals such as Princess Diana of Wales and President Barack Obama. Today, The Drake is an opulent relic of one of Chicago's most exciting and historic decades, as well as an iconic part of the city's character and charm. We know parking in the city can be tricky, so we encourage our guests to use one of the following options: Valet at The Drake: - $31, valet parking for the day of the wedding until 2:00 A.M. - $75, valet parking all day and overnight with in and out privileges 900 Self-Park Garage: 60 East Delaware Place, Chicago, 60611 - $54/night; billable directly through The Drake, if you book a room - overnight self-parking with in/out privileges until 2 P.M. on the day of departure Drake Towers Garage: 174 East Walton Street, Chicago, 60611 - $45 for 24 hours with in/out privileges
