When should I RSVP by?

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

If you are not attending Kunal's baraat, please arrive at the ceremony and find your seat promptly by 12PM. We ask that guests arrive on time and are seated by noon so that the rest of the event can flow smoothly! Please note, we will not be able to seat any guests after the ceremony has already begun. We are also asking that our guests "unplug" and tuck away their phones until after the bride has made her entrance so that we can fully share and experience the first moments of our wedding with you!

Is there a dress code?

Dress to the nines! Our event will be black tie, or Indian attire. Do you have a registry?

We are incredibly excited to celebrate our special day with you! Gathering with all our friends and family to celebrate is the best gift we could ask for. But, if you'd like to give us a gift, we set up a home and honeymoon fund on the "Registry" tab of our website. Contributions to these funds will help us make lasting memories on our honeymoon and build our future home together!

Is this a kid friendly event?

Generally, yes! While we'd love to see your kids at the ceremony and reception, please note that the Sangeet will be an adults-only event!

Do you have a block room rate?

Answer

Yes! The Drake will host our ceremony and reception; we highly encourage our guests to take advantage of our block room rate, by reserving their rooms at https://book.passkey.com/go/SAHAANDSHAHWEDDING or by calling 1-800-55-DRAKE and providing the group code, SRP –SHW.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Since we want to spend as much time as possible with all of you, we highly encourage our guests to book hotel rooms via our block room rate at The Drake Hotel! However, there are other hotels in the area, if desired. We'd recommend: - The Intercontinental Hotel - The Palmer House - The Gwen Hotel

Where should I park?

Answer

We know parking in the city can be tricky, so we encourage our guests to use one of the following options: Valet at The Drake: - $31, valet parking for the day of the wedding until 2:00 A.M. - $75, valet parking all day and overnight with in and out privileges 900 Self-Park Garage: 60 East Delaware Place, Chicago, 60611 - $54/night; billable directly through The Drake, if you book a room - overnight self-parking with in/out privileges until 2 P.M. on the day of departure Drake Towers Garage: 174 East Walton Street, Chicago, 60611 - $45 for 24 hours with in/out privileges

What should I do in between events if I don't have a room?

If you're joining us for the day and don't have a hotel room, The Drake has an event room designated for guests who would like to relax between events, and the staff will be happy to show you there. Alternatively, Chicago has plenty to explore around the Drake. Check out our "Things to Do" section for our favorite recommendations!
