Sedona

If time permits, Sedona is fun day trip that's about 2 hours away. We highly recommend leaving early in the morning to avoid traffic. If you make it, we recommend Devil's Bridge, Cathedral Rock, Slide Rock Park and a walk downtown. If you really have time drive up the 89A for incredible views all the way to Flagstaff.

Canyon Lake

The drive to the lake offers incredible desert views and maybe a mountain goat sighting. You can also find a ghost town and Lost Dutchman state park on the way. Beware - the road is quite windy. There isn't too much to do at the lake but you can take in the views and rent a kayak.
