Matron of Honor
Isabel and Taylor grew up together in Bel Air, MD, playing softball, soccer, volleyball, and marching band. Little did their younger selves know that Taylor’s decision to go out-of-state to the University of Louisville for college would be a life changing one for the both of them. Not only did Taylor meet her husband in Louisville, but during a trip to visit Taylor, Isabel met John. Through all of life’s ups and downs Taylor and Isabel have been there for each other and built some pretty unique memories along the way; from deciding what types of trees they would be at band camp to venting about the struggles of adulthood. A lot of kids think they’ll keep their best friends forever, but few can say they did. I guess you could say they’re part of the elite.
Best Man
John met Carson in high school at St. X where, thanks to the alphabetical order of their last names, their desks in the classroom were right beside each other. Carson was John's original lifting buddy, and the pair are always sure to carve out some time to link up for a workout when John returns home. What started as default seating arrangements turned into a lifelong friendship.
Bridesmaid
Isabel and Deirdre met in graduate school at THE Ohio State when Isabel crashed Deirdre's karaoke dive bar birthday party. They instantly hit it off and the rest was history. Although they’ve been long distance for the majority of their friendship (as Deirdre left for LSU to pursue her PhD shortly after they met), she played a pivotal role in Isabel’s story with John by watching Nora and Lily the weekend they met (and by serving as an overall hype woman for life).
Groomsman
John met Christian, whom the group affectionately calls "C-Bass", in college. Always the biggest personality in the room, he lives life to the fullest. Aside from making every interaction memorable, Christian is sure to frequently check in on how life is going. He has been a dear friend who has been a consistent shoulder for John to lean on through many ups and downs.
Bridesmaid
As John's little sister, Gab has been around from the start. John's claim-to-fame as a big brother is "teaching her to be the best athlete in her class;" as his fiance, I can tell she taught him many life lessons as well (being humble not included). Over the past three years, I've enjoyed the time I've spent getting to know Gab during holidays, trips to KY, and family vacations to Hilton Head, SC. I look forward to continuing to grow our relationship and gaining a new sister-in-law.
Groomsman
Another close friendship forged in the halls of St. X; this one was sparked in freshman year English class. It didn’t take long for Scott and John to bond over after school bowling and unpredictable Danger Run escapades. When Scott went off to Lexington for college, the miles kept them apart for a time, but the bond never wavered. When Scott returned home, it was as if their friendship never skipped a beat.
Bridesmaid
Isabel and Daniela also met at THE Ohio State University, when they were both graduate students studying ornamental (pretty/decorative) plant diseases. While it was not friends at first sight (long story lol), after many late nights in the lab, early mornings in the field, and crazy nights on the town, they became great friends. Fun fact, John's first trip to Columbus was to attend Daniela's birthday party (and visit Isabel, of course).
Groomsman
Some friendships have unexpected beginnings. What could have been just a passing connection between Adam and John transformed into a close friendship. Bonding over all things UofL, video games, and countless nights of laughter, the two have remained as close as ever. As a groomsman in Adam's wedding already, there was never any doubt John would return the favor.
Groomsman
Chuck and John spent years in the same circles before really connecting, but once they did, their friendship truly took off. Now, every May, Chuck is guaranteed to show up for their joint birthday party at the beach. When John asked Chuck to join the wedding crew, there was just one condition: the mullet must come too. Chuck quickly accepted, and now the iconic look will never be forgotten.
Groomsman
John's only male cousin, Raph, grew up just down the street. Raph was truly John's first friend who ultimately felt more like a brother. The boys hung out every day growing up, swapping trading cards, engaging in airsoft battles, and competing in sports of all kinds. Many memories were made building forts in whatever house was unfortunate enough to endure having its living room furniture converted into a temporary stronghold that night.
Groomsman
John and Landon went to St. X together but really became friends during college while attending UofL. Landon's house, dubbed "Nottingham Nightclub," became the epicenter for holiday parties and random weekends, alike. The tradition of searching up YouTube videos late into the night was a staple of those times, and the VRBs were always flowing.
