Domaine Sigalas
A MUST-DO. This winery has not only incredible wine (one of which has become Jessica's all time favorite vinosanto), but the best food we had on the island. Come hungry! We did the 5 course "Volcano Divers" tasting for two. We pre-paid through their website ($200 I believe) which is pricey but you can just go and get a la cart items as well. They also take you on a little tour if you do one of their packages and they are clearly passionate about what they do. Some of the grape plants have over 100 year old vines that are braided with a special technique and can only be found on Santorini. Truly a unique experience we would do over and over again if we could.
Caldera Massages Studio
This massage studio was great! There are options for couples or for solo massages. We opted for a unique couples massage package that included drinking champagne or Greek wine to the sunset on a private terrace.
Akrotiri Museum
The Akrotiri museum is an archeological site of what might be considered the origin of the story of Atlantis. It is indoor, 12 euros, and takes about an hour and a half to walk through.
Caldera Boat Tour
We'll try and book a private boat tour the day before the wedding! If that doesn't happen, it would still be worth having this experience especially at sunset.
Kastro Restaurant Oia
This place has decent drinks and appetizers. We found ourselves here often when we just needed to get off our feet and cool down. The sunset view requires reservations, but the view in general any time of day was dazzling.
Solo Gelato
Yummy gelato tasting all around the island doesn't mean they're all created equal. This was the best we personally found. It has a few unique flavors like rose and some old classics lie pistachio as well.
Meat Corner
Don't let this tiny counter service corner of Fira fool you. It had really good Gyro, better than 2 or 3 other places we tried. If you're on the lookout for a pita gyro you need to go to this one.
