11:00 am - 5:00 pm
11:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Indian tradition of applying temporary henna tattoos on hands and legs. There are no religious aspects to this function but it is said that this medicinal herb is supposed to relived stress and headaches. It will be a perfect opportunity for people to get to know one another and apply henna (mehendi) with the help of trained professionals. Historically, henna was applied only on females as a sign of beauty and tradition, but anyone regardless of their gender is welcome to try it! We would of course top it up with awesome music to set the mood for the evening to follow! We recommend wearing printed or floral for this event.
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Sip on some tea/ coffee and Indian snacks to prepare your liver for the overflow of alcohol and madness to follow. Take a walk around the venue, socialize with guests and start preparing for the Cocktail event.

This is essentially a pre-wedding blowout with a simple agenda: we will start sober, move on to toasts (hopefully not revealing too many unwarranted secrets) and then go bonkers. There will be a DJ, a dance floor, music, more music, cocktails and the best people we know - in short, all the ingredients to make it a night to remember! This will of course be followed by an After Party (details of which will be shared in time). We recommend suiting up or dressing down for this event.
8:30 am - 10:30 am
After the previous night, we definitely recommend some hot Indian breakfast. Trust us, it's the best way to survive the day!
10:30 am - 3:00 pm
The Gaye Holud (Haldi) ceremony is an intimate ceremony, just before the main wedding ceremony. It's where the family and friends will get to bless us as we take the most important decision of our lives. These blessings are blended (often with regional and cultural variations) with milk, rose water, sandalwood, curd and other herbs and then spread liberally over the bride and groom. The application of turmeric is definitely NOT limited to the couple but also to our friends and family. So you might want to keep your fancy clothes away! We recommend wearing something yellow for this event!
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Sip on some tea/ coffee just before you see the bride and the groom walk down the aisle. Prepare yourself for a long(ish) evening of ceremonies and music.

The wedding will predominantly be a Bengali style ceremony with Arya Samaj rituals, lasting for about 90 minutes. The groom is welcomed by the mother of the bride who blesses him with a Baran Dala comprising of husked rice and sweets. The bride enters the venue sitting on a piri (a low wooden stool) covering her face with beetel leaf and is lifted by her brothers and friends who then take her around the groom seven times. The ritual culminates into Shubho Drishti and Mala Badal where the couple see each other for the first time and exchange garlands. Then they sit in front of the sacred fire and take their wedding vows, followed by a walk around the fire. The final ritual, which completes the marriage, is when the groom puts sindoor (vermillion) on the bride’s hair parting. We recommend wearing traditional Indian clothes for this event.
8:30 am - 10:30 am
We recommend a hearty breakfast before you set-off and take the long flight out to your respective locations. We can't believe we are already feeling sad thinking about the goodbyes.
