Our Story

The Wedding Website of Priyanka Narula and Matthew Robinson
Although we both went to Syracuse University, one year apart, we somehow never met. We both lived in NYC after graduation, even in the same neighborhood, but didn’t cross paths until Fourth of July weekend in 2020, when we met at a lake house with mutual friends. We stayed friends after that weekend, but soon after, Priyanka was back in NYC while Matt left the city to spend a few months living in Lake Tahoe with friends. In 2021, Matt moved back, hoping to finally ask Priyanka out on a date. After a few denials, all it took was a "happy 25th birthday" text, and the rest is history. We've been inseparable ever since.

Our First Date

Our first date night out was at Rubirosa, our favorite pizza spot in NYC, and our first date night in was Matt cooking his signature spicy rigatoni. It’s still Priyanka’s most requested meal five years later.

Agree / Disagree

We'll Always Agree On: Matt being the better cook, needing a side of aioli with fries, Philly sports over all else, hitting the snooze button, choosing a cab downtown over the subway, and having a dance party at home after a night out. We'll Never Agree On: Priyanka's shopping habits, Matt's golf schedule, who gets the TV for the night, when to leave NYC for the suburbs, sharing food vs. ordering our own, and whose city is better: Philly or DC.

Our Perfect Weekend

Trying a new restaurant on Friday night with friends, or Matt testing out a new recipe at home. Saturday starts with a workout together, unless Friday night says otherwise, followed by time with friends around the city. Sunday is for sports, a new coffee shop on the Upper East Side, and Priyanka resetting the apartment for the week.

Favorite Thing's About Each Other

Matt's Favorite Things About Priyanka: Her ambition and determination, her love for her family and friends, and her smile. Priyanka's Favorite Things About Matt: His passions and hobbies, how he always sees the glass half full, and his love for her culture.
