Invitations to come soon! We look forward to celebrating with you all!
It all started with a swipe to the right. Priyal and Mayur’s paths first crossed in the digital world of Hinge, where Mayur made his move with a bold and mysterious “💯” on Priyal’s profile. Smooth? Maybe. Effective? Absolutely. Intrigued, Priyal took one look at his photo and felt an instant spark—one that only grew stronger when she decided to reply. What started as weeks of texting chats soon turned into a four hour phone call! Time flew as they bonded over their love for music, travel, outdoor adventures, sunshine and—most importantly—convertible cars. At the time, Mayur was living in California and preparing for a move to Texas to be closer to his family. As they continued to connect from afar, Priyal found herself genuinely excited to meet this Cali guy who already felt so familiar. He even sent Priyal birthday cookies to her work! She told her curious co-workers that "he's just a friend." They didn't buy that one bit. When they finally met in person, it all just clicked. Their first date was everything they had hoped for— dinner, drinks and dancing —effortless, easy, and full of laughs. And by the second date, they were already making memories in the kitchen with their first homemade Trader Joe’s pizza, which also became the moment of their very first photo together. From there, their adventures took off—chasing sunsets, exploring the Austin hotspots, boating on Lake Austin, and hiking scenic trails. The real test, though? Their first concert together: Swedish House Mafia in Austin. Under neon lights and thumping bass, they danced the night away and realized they weren’t just concert buddies—they were perfectly in sync in every way that mattered. And so, their story continues—one song, one adventure, and one convertible ride at a time.
In November 2024, Priyal and Mayur jet set off to Oahu, Hawaii for a much-needed vacation. Mayur had secretly planned to propose, but he needed to find the perfect moment. Priyal had her heart set on a remote, rocky, strenuous hike, that of course led to an Instagram-worthy view. But Mayur, knowing what he had up his sleeve (and not wanting to haul a ring box up a cliff), suggested a peaceful sunset picnic and a photo opp on Makaha Beach instead. Luckily, it rained that day, giving Priyal just enough reason to pause the hike plans and lean into something a little more laid-back. As they set up on the beach with a bottle of bubbly rosé, Priyal had a growing intuition that something special was happening when Mayur started setting up tripods for his iPhone and GoPro. True to his analytical nature, he meticulously checked and re-checked all angles and lighting, giving off major “logistics manager meets golden hour enthusiast” vibes. He even sought guidance from professional photographers that were doing an engagement photoshoot for another couple! Priyal sipped her bubbly and let Mayur do his thing (for 30 long minutes) and coolly observed him in his element. Despite the clues, the moment felt beautifully organic. The biggest surprise was not the cinematic setup—it was Mayur himself. Calm. Composed. Totally confident. Not a single bead of nervous sweat (just heat sweat). Priyal was low-key impressed. And maybe swooning just a little. Finally satisfied with his DIY film set, Mayur said, “Let’s take that sunset photo!” Priyal danced her way into the frame, heart quietly racing, and before she could make any cheeky comments about how long his photo set up took, Mayur turned to her, held her hands, and began to speak—really speak. Words from the heart. Full of love, intention, and that steady certainty she had come to love about him. And then, right there against a backdrop of glowing skies, the ocean breeze and crashing waves, he asked her to marry him. Giddy, glowing and overwhelmed with joy, Priyal giggled, "YES!" As they hugged and laughed in that magical moment, a group of nearby beachgoers who had been quietly watching burst into cheers and applause, congratulating them like they were the stars of their own rom-com. It was unexpected, sweet, and made everything feel even more surreal. No grand spectacle—just the two of them, a serene beach, cotton-candy skies, crashing waves and a moment that was perfectly theirs. Priyal had always dreamed of a beach proposal, and it being from Mayur made it even more special.
