Featured on the Netflix documentary, High on the Hog, this restaurant encompasses the spirit and diversity of Houston. Advaith and I ate on the homey second floor with all the local artwork. Their bread pudding is amazing!
Phoenicia Specialty Foods
Any time we are downtown, Advaith and I frequently hit up this international grocery store which houses various breads, jams, dips, cheeses, and coffee. This two story artisan shop across Discovery Green is a great place to wander for foodie inspiration.

During the holiday season, Advaith and I walked through this giant space looking at all the Christmas lights and decorated Christmas trees.
Rosie Cannonball
This is a brunch spot we enjoy going to for their wood fired pizzas and unique dishes like the fennel confit. The pasta here is also delicious and clean for those who want a healthy but hearty alternative.
