8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Our special day starts with breakfast at 7 am in the Harris Room (just outside the Houston Ballroom), then at 8 am join family and friends at the main hotel entrance just outside for the Baraat as Advaith ceremonially makes his way to the wedding hall amidst joyous song and dance! (Location: Main hotel entrance on Walker Street). After several opening rituals and offerings, make sure you are seated by 10 am to witness Priya make her way down the aisle and, a short while later, the antarpata (curtain) being lowered for Muhurtam so that Advaith and Priya see each other for the “first time”! A South Indian/Gujarati vegetarian lunch will immediately follow the wedding puja (ceremony). A kind note: In observing the solemnity of this occasion and our special day, we kindly ask all guests to silence their phones and turn off their cameras' flash prior to entering the wedding hall, as well as those guests with small children to step outside as needed during the ceremony.
5:30 pm - 11:45 pm
We request that guests wear Western formal (black-tie or evening dress/gown) or Indian Traditional attire at the reception
We'll kick off celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Rao with hors d'oeuvre and drinks at Cocktail Hour from 5:30-6:30, followed by the Reception immediately afterwards! The dance floor will officially be opened after speeches and performances from family members! Let's celebrate the new beginning of Priya and Advaith!
