When should I receive an invitation?

Answer

Invitations will be sent in mid-September; if you have not received your invitation by October 1, please let Julia Dawson (mother of the bride) know, You can text or call (704)502-7010

Is there a dress code?

Answer

October 31, 2021.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided from the Ballast Hotel to the Brooklyn Arts Center. The shuttle will arrive near the front steps on Water Street and depart at 3:40, 3:50, and 4:05. However, we encourage you to arrive by 4:00. There will also be transportation back to the Ballast Hotel after the reception. Guests will have the option to be dropped off at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot to continue celebrating OR the Ballast Hotel to end the night.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are located at the Brooklyn Arts Center where there is plenty of free street parking all around the venue, and a designated lot one block east of the venue on Campbell Street.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate children in the wedding party. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding otherwise children-free.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30, thus we suggest for our guests to arrive at the venue at 4:00 to leave ample time to find parking, walk to the venue, and be seated.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We want to be accommodating towards all guests! Please indicate your allergy or food sensitivity when you RSVP. If you have already RSVP'd and did not indicate that you have a food allergy/sensitivity, please email esdemily@gmail.com (Emily Dawson) as soon as possible.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! The reception will end at 10:00PM; however, there will be an afterparty at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (111 Grace St, Wilmington, NC 28401). This is for those who want to continue celebrating into 2022! Transportation will be provided to Whiskey Tango Foxtrot after the reception.
